Maintainers

This page contains resources for module maintainers, particularly those that are part of the GNOME GitLab group. For information about what maintainers do and how to become a maintainer, see governance.

New maintainers

If you’ve just been made the maintainer of a module, congratulations! Here are some things that you should do:

  • Ask the other (or previous) maintainer(s) what you should do 🙂.

  • Add yourself to the module’s .doap file. If your module is part of the GNOME GitLab group, this assigns you the maintainer role in GitLab and is needed for master.gnome.org access.

  • Subscribe to the announcement tag in Discourse, as well as your module specific tag, if there is one. (See subscribing via email.)

  • Watch your project(s) in Gitlab to receive notifications.
